AIRO Group Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: AIRO) said it signed a non-binding letter of intent with Nord Drone LLC to form a strategic joint venture.
The agreement’s goal is to accelerate the deployment of combat-proven unmanned aerial systems to the U.S., Ukraine, and other NATO member countries, it stated.
AIRO expects to contribute in fields such as manufacturing oversight while Nord Drone will provide proprietary drone technologies and coordination with defense ministries, including Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, it said.
“This strategic partnership represents a significant opportunity to deliver proven, battlefield-tested technology to our allies when they need it most,” said Dr. Chirinjeev Kathuria, AIRO’s Executive Chairman. “We believe we can rapidly scale production of critical defense systems.”
