Ouster, Inc. (Nasdaq: OUST) said it is partnering with FUJIFILM Holdings Corp. (XETRA: FJI.F) to develop the world’s first native color lidar through Ouster’s new digital sensors, the Rev8 OS family.
The sensors unite color science at the silicon level and produce native color data and hardware-enabled HDR, transforming lidar into a multi-modal sensor, the company stated.
“Our collaboration with Fujifilm enabled us to bridge the gap between 3D sensing and high-fidelity imaging through pure physics,” said Martin Millischer, Ouster’s Optical Engineer. “For the first time, companies can leverage the foundational depth and color data needed to build the next generation of Physical AI systems.”
